In this tutorial, we have shared step-by-step instructions to create a scatter file for any android Mediatek (MTK) device using the MTK Droid Tool.
Requirements for creating scatter file:
- A Windows computer/laptop
- An MTK chipset based android device
- MTK Droid Tool
- Installed ADB driver
- Cable to connect your android device with computer/laptop
Create a Scatter file using MTK Droid tools
Step 1: Download and extract the MTK Droid Tool on your computer/laptop.
Step 2: Download and install Android ADB Driver on your computer/laptop (its supports almost all android device).
Step 3: Now enable USB Debugging mode on your MTK android device. To Enable USB Debugging on your device: Settings > Developer > Tick USB Debugging.
Step 4: Connect your android device to the computer using a USB cable (Make sure USB Debugging mode is enabled before connecting it to PC).
Step 5: Launch the MTK Droid tools on your computer and wait till it loads & display your device info in MTK window.
Step 6: Once your device info is loaded and displayed in MTK tool window, click on “Blocks Map” then click “create scatter file” at the bottom.
Step 7: Select the location where you want to save the Scatter File and click on the “Save” button.
Step 8: That’s all. Now you have successfully created the scatter file for your MTK android device.
